I was born and raised in Los Angeles, then Orange County in California. I attended UCLA as an undergraduate, where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and interned at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute's Child Autism Clinic. I completed hours at AIDS Project Los Angeles, then earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University. My program practicum was completed at Alpha Project San Diego designing and implementing parenting and anger management curriculum for trauma victims. I then completed an internship working with children and adults exposed to familial trauma working individually and in groups. This work focused on interventions for mentalizing traumatic states and teaching adaptive behavioral responses to these states. Today I continue my education though regional and out of state psychoanalytic training institutes.
Originally licensed in California, I am a Washington state Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked in private practice in Seattle and on Bainbridge Island since 2010. I am a member of a number of regional and international psychoanalytic institutes and focus my continuing education on the understanding and integration of traumatic and autistic states.
